Treatment Philosophy
Opiate dependence is a chronic progressive illness which affects
an individual physically, emotionally, socially and psychologically.
Goals of the QAM narcotic maintenance program are:

HISTORY:
QAM has offered narcotic maintenance treatment services since 1997. Our
practice, limited to treating addiction, began in 1984. The partners are
Charles J. Engel, M.D., and Michael S. Goldstone, M.D. We have extensive
experience in the full continuum of addiction treatment, from the ICU/general
hospital to residential treatment facilities and a variety of outpatient settings. We
previously offered a 2 year post-graduate physician training program in Addiction
Medicine from 1985-1996 through the Medical College of Wisconsin.
CURRENTLY:
We have 6 conveniently located clinics in Wisconsin. Our modern,
well-appointed offices reflect our private practice setting. Patients
at QAM are treated with respect and dignity and as a result our patients
enjoy excellent rapport with our staff.
